After spending two grueling decades fighting monstrous hordes in an alternate reality, Hyeonseok finally achieves the impossible and saves that dimension from total ruin. As a reward for his supreme sacrifice, the universe sends him back home to Earth, expecting a quiet life of modern comforts. But the homecoming is short-lived. Stepping back onto his home planet under the alias Chanseok, he finds a world completely altered by mysterious anomalies known as Erosion Points. Monstrous threats now roam city streets, and ordinary humans with awakened powers operate as professional Hunters to keep the chaos at bay.

Reluctantly stepping out of retirement, Chanseok signs up for the Hunter registry with one primary goal in mind: securing a steady paycheck. Having already saved an entire realm from destruction, he assumes this modern monster-hunting gig will be a walk in the park. Yet, balancing a desire for a peaceful mundane life while navigating cutthroat Hunter politics proves far more complicated than fighting ancient beasts. This thrilling webtoon blends high-octane monster action with witty slice-of-life humor as a battle-hardened veteran realizes that Earth's modern dungeons demand just as much patience as a fantasy wasteland.

The primary driving force of the series centers on Chanseok, formerly known as Hyeonseok, a cynical yet deeply capable veteran whose unmatched combat experience far exceeds any modern Hunter's training. Alongside him, various corporate Hunter agents, ambitious guild recruiters, and unsuspecting teammates cross his path, utterly unaware that the unassuming newcomer possesses the terrifying prowess of a literal world savior. Their dynamic creates endless comedic and action-packed friction as Chanseok tries to cut corners for easy cash while unintentionally outperforming elite squads.
